Τhe Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation, in collaboration with eight leading world class academic institutions is organizing the Athens Dialogues; an international conference on Greek culture and its role in modern society.

Leading thinkers, academics, scientists and intellectuals from all over the world will gather in Athens from November 24th to 27th 2010 to discuss, debate and open new routes of thought on issues of universal and diachronic interest, such as: Identity & Difference, Stories & Histories, Logos & Art, Democracy & Politeia, Science & Ethics, Quality of Life.

Interdisciplinary approaches, stimulating debates, diachronic perspectives and the broad participation of great minds of our times make Athens Dialogues a unique opportunity not to be missed.

Modalities for Participation

• Participation is upon invitation only. If you have not already received a formal invitation for the conference, please request your participation* by October 15th 2010;
• If your participation request is approved you will be able to proceed to the registration process which will be open until October 22nd 2010;
• Participants are requested to make their own accommodation and travel arrangements.
• Participation fee: Standard = Euros 300;
• Conference fee waived for Students** (BA, MA, MSc, PhD).

* If you are a main speaker or respondent or if you have already received a formal invitation to attend the conference you do not have to submit a participation request form.

**Proof of current student ID or status, and photo identification will be required in order to complete the registration process. Students who are not able to provide the above information must pay the general public full fee.

The fee includes the following:

• Participation in all thematic sessions;
• Attendance at all meals & breaks mentioned in the program;
• Participants’ Booklet and other conference materials

but is exclusive of travel and accommodation arrangements
