Online Short Film Festival for Balkan Filmmakers

Στις 3 Σεπτεμβρίου 2014 ανοίγει το 3ο Online festival ταινιών μικρού μήκους, altcineAction! 2014 το οποίο διεξάγεται εξ ολοκλήρου διαδικτυακά: Υποβολή, προβολή, ψηφοφορία.
Το φεστιβάλ απευθύνεται σε όλους τους νέους σκηνοθέτες από την Αλβανία, Βοσνία Ερζεγοβίνη, Βουλγαρία, Κύπρο, Κροατία, Ελλάδα, ΠΓΔΜ, Κόσοβο*, Μαυροβούνιο, Μολδαβία, Ρουμανία, Σλοβενία και Τουρκία, με στόχο να ενισχύσει και να αναδείξει το κινηματογραφικό ταλέντο στα Βαλκάνια, και να τους προσφέρει τη δυνατότητα να εκθέσουν το έργο τους στο ευρύ κοινό, να κρίνουν και να κριθούν.
Τα τρία μεγάλα βραβεία βασίζονται στη ψήφο του κοινού και αφορούν υπηρεσίες για την παραγωγή της επόμενης ταινίας τους.
Το altcineAction! μέσα στα δύο χρόνια λειτουργίας του, έχει γίνει ήδη θεσμός. Με περισσότερες από 100 ταινίες από 12 διαφορετικές χώρες, και 4.750 εγγεγραμμένους χρήστες, το altcineAction! υπό την αιγίδα του Υπουργείου Πολιτισμού και Αθλητισμού και του ευρωπαϊκού προγράμματος Eurimages, στηρίζει την κινηματογραφική παραγωγή και συμπαραγωγή στα Βαλκάνια προσφέροντας μεγάλα βραβεία, με χορηγούς και δωροθέτες τις κορυφαίες εταιρίες του χώρου.
Φέτος, το altcineAction! επιστρέφει με περισσότερες ταινίες, βραβεία και ευκαιρίες. Για πρώτη φορά, το altcineAction! 2014 επιμηκύνει το χρόνο του και δέχεται 480 λεπτά online περιεχόμενο αντί για τα 360 λεπτά των προηγούμενων χρόνων, ενώ η συμμετοχή είναι ανοιχτή πλέον σε όλους τους σκηνοθέτες από τα Βαλκάνια, ανεξαρτήτως ηλικίας, δεδομένου ότι δεν έχουν παραπάνω από μια ταινία μεγάλου μήκους στο ενεργητικό τους. Επιπλέον, φέτος, με την υποβολή της πρώτης ταινίας ξεκινά ταυτόχρονα και η περίοδος της ψηφοφορίας, η οποία λήγει στις 3 Οκτωβρίου.
Η online υποβολή ξεκινά στις 3 Σεπτεμβρίου.

The 3rd Online Short FIlm Festival for Balkan Young Filmmakers
altcineAction! supported by the European Programme Eurimages and Hellenic Minister of Culture and Sports will be held between 3 September to 3 October.
Organized by the web platform dedicated to Balkan cinema, altcine, the festival is running entirely online:submission, screenings, voting.
The altcineAction! Awards are of a highly educational and career-evolving nature.
The first three prizes are based on audience voting and they offer services for winners’ next production in addition with scholarships for film studies. Three more awards are given by special juries, including The Best Critic Award for the more engaged and faithful member of the audience, which offers all the expenses for winner’s participation in a Balkan Film Festival.
The jury of The Best Critic Award is composed of President Mr Marian Tutui (Romania), Ms Gergana Doncheva (Bulgaria), Ms Ana Grgic (Croatia) and Ms Lydia Papadimitriou (UK/Greece).
Submissions are open to all the filmmakers from Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Kosovo*, F.Y.R.O.M, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia or Turkey.
Voting is open to all the Internet users and they are eligible for the The Best Critic Award.
With altcineAction!, any Internet surfer will be able to have free access to films from the Balkan Peninsula, to connect in a direct and playful way with the creative young professionals, while the Balkan young directors will be able to find mentoring and support by top companies and Institutions of the region for their films and studies.
altcineAction! is a revolutionary project that can transform young audio-visual literate surfers into engaged audiences and create sustainable communities.
